I am a second year PhD student working on computational biology with Prof. Ivan G. Costa at RWTH Aachen University. My research interest includes chromatin accessibility, transcription factor binding sites and single-cell epigenomics. Currently, I am focusing on the analysis of single cell ATAC-seq and single cell RNA-seq data.

I receved the BSc and MSc degrees in computer science from the College of Computer Science and Technology, Jilin University, China and the School of Computer, Central China Normal University, China in July 2012 and June 2016, respectively. During my master’s study, I specialized in the area of evolutionary computation under supervision of Dr. Jinglei Guo. We tried to improve the performance of differential evolution algorithm in terms of the convergence speed and solution accuracy.
